General surgery is a broad field that encompasses the surgical care of breast disease, thyroid and parathyroid disease, abdominal hernias, biliary disease, benign and malignant intestinal disorders, trauma, and treatment of benign and malignant skin lesions.
Not all surgeons are board certified. Board certification by the ABS is a voluntary process that demonstrates a surgeon's commitment to professionalism, lifelong learning, and quality patient care. Surgeons certified by the ABS have completed at least five years of residency training following medical school, met all ABS training requirements, and successfully completed a rigorous ABS examination process.

"My husband, Tim, and I are so fortunate to be raising our three boys in this friendly, down to earth community. If we are not rafting the town run on the Uncompahgre River, we might be biking up the Black Canyon. We enjoy skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. I am blessed to have a thriving surgical practice with an exceptional, supportive local hospital.
Tim and I are interested in promoting healthy, active lifestyles both for our family and for our community. From school gardens to a state of the art city recreation center, we are excited to support the health of kids and adults alike in our surrounding area.”
